14 June is NO KINGS! Day.
Please join a rally near you in support of US Democracy. Events are happening across the US and around the world. This will be more legal and peaceful rallying than an illegitimate president can suppress.

Genuinely curious about how people over here think, not going to judge.
A couple of years ago I read that Logseq was going to add some integration with OpenAI: Is the Logseq community (and the It's FOSS crowd now that I have you here) cool with OpenAI and/or the other big ones? or is there an anti-AI sentiment?
Lengthy rants welcome, I don't want to discuss, just testing the waters 🙂 Thanks.

America, for all its flaws, has a legacy that includes incredible cultural and scientific achievements -- a legacy that is being dismantled program by program, brick by brick, by a government of gangsters.
I hope to see some signs for NPR and PBS this Saturday, too.

Considering time-zones, and by your own account of how this works, I'd say 99% of what you write is just articles of '𝘯𝘦𝘸𝘴 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺'
I sure hope I'm wrong with how I read your comment, but it seems you're inferring that Gardiner 'stole your work'
Wow. Chill. It's a friendly joke. Me and Gardiner have literally done content together before.
But it's also a well-known thing that a lot of video folks use GOL for news sources, Gardiner does often (and links back properly too).
And no, 99% of what I write is not news others have covered recently. Sounds like you don't even read GOL if you think that. GOL is a source quite often for the bigger sites.

The spousal unit came home today and said, "I got you a toy!" and I was like, oh no, what kind of junk is he bringing home from the thrift store today (the last one being a keychain with a miniature version of my favourite instant noodle, which is thoughtful of him but, do I really need it?).
To my surprise, it's not really as junky as expected. It's a Widelux F7 panoramic camera with carrying case and a set of filters. It takes 35mm film.
Apparently, according to eBay sold listings, some people would pay a couple of thousand dollars for one of these. Huh. (The spousal unit got it for a steal, and yes, it works.)
Anyway, I've been a camera collector for years and I have hundreds of film cameras in my collection. This one is definitely one of the nicer (and very few) additions to the collection in recent years.
Someone has written an informative article about this camera, if you're interested in reading more about it: dancuny.com/camera-collecting-…

Milan provides a good reminder of why ESR's "Cathedral and the Bazaar" essay gets its central metaphor wrong.
The cathedral took centuries of collaborative work to build, with many artists and intersecting visions. (Still at it, as you can see.)
The bazaar was built by a king and is full of luxury brands.

Just got back from the NO KINGS! rally in Melbourne, Australia. It was beautiful and funny the way many US rallies in Australia are.
We had around thirty people turn up at the US Consulate General. This is a good turnout for expats here. Only a tiny tiny percentage of the Australian population are of US descent. We had one Australian Federal Police car, one Melbourne City Police car, and the Consulate guards all keeping an eye on us.
We started at noon, but a number of people were running late. I came prepared. I read Yertle the Turtle by Dr Seuss while we waited for everyone to join us. The guards seated themselves on the couches inside the building and promptly fell asleep! The Federal Police must have realised this was a waste of their time and went off, I believe, for lunch nearby. They left their car behind empty.
I then had people come up in turn and tell us why they were here for this rally. What did they want to say. It was moving what they had to share. One little boy wanted to speak out. He told us that we wer

He told us that we were the white blood cells of the United States. Well said!!! They all had such a good time that they wanted to give me their email addresses and stay in touch.
We all then went off to have tea, coffee, and sandwiches at a nearby cafe.
Job done! Photos to come!
