Wingo Starr and friends form charity art gullery
More than 200 model seagulls are to go on display later this month as part of a community art project.
Artworks Art4All, a Barrow-based community interest company, has been collecting pieces from schools and community groups for its exhibition since September.
Its volunteers run art projects for groups, including those experiencing isolation and mental health issues, to give them a space to be creative in a supportive environment.
Founding director Sharon Tait said gulls of all sizes, made of felt, glass and even sweets, would be exhibited and auctioned for charity. "We have a lot of seagulls in Barrow. A lot. And now we have even more," she said.
The exhibition is entitled What the Flock? The Seaquell, and builds on a similar project where people were invited to create model sheep.
Treasurer director Linda Rollinson said her favourite was a 5ft-tall (1.5m) cushioned seagull called Wingo Starr...

I loved Sabayon.
I dont remember which version it was that i installed ( but an early one). It was easy to install ( from a CD / DVD) its default graphics , icons, wallpaper, themes were were cool. A dark dangerous red.
It mostly worked, i loved it.
Not sure why but most likely becuase i had a half dozen machines to maintain it made sense to have something essier and more widely used. I think it was the early days of Ubuntu so that was the choice.

Great Weather on Sunday for HanaMi CherryBlossom Sakura gatherings.. Mimata's KamiYone Park is awesome, and it felt great, very convivial to be there with a lot of people enjoying the day.. I ended up running from the CherryBlossom Beauty slope to the other side of a neighboring 山 big hill to appreciate the big playground.. Lots of healthy bright-eyed people outside having a great time.. It reminded me of some lines from Paul Goodman's essay "A Modest Utopia" all we really want is good air, clean water, and the chance to grow up healthy and vivacious... all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed...
