Activitypub or Atproto ... one item that both Mastodon have in common with Bluesky is amount of "spam" links and accounts boosting those "spammy" accounts

Several "award winning art / photo" profiles I saw had 5 or more links including their pinned post

Win goes to Bluesky since they seem to have better control of that ... for now

This one is worse! See screenshot of profile with 9 total links just in profile and first pin. Then each post may have 1-3 links ... thoughts?

I haven't seen anything like that either but then you guys are in mastodon.social which has a history of "everything goes" at moderation because of its sheer size.

They seem to boost other similar accounts with just as many links.

Maybe bots? Is there a rule on this flagship instance regarding this? @Gargron

With everything in the screenshot redacted out it's difficult for me to judge if there's even anything wrong there or it's just a photographer with a shop selling prints.

I understand some want to sell their work but how many links do they need? Each post need more links 😂

Unrelated ... how many ad popups or ads shown on one page is enough? 😂 😜
