I'm glad you picked up on (global) Desktop Zoom as it's often underated and overlooked in my opinion.
I was using Compiz-Fusion from Ubuntu 7.10 onwards, Desktop Zoom bound to modifier + hotkeys / mouse wheel - mostly only web browsers and terminals had their own bound zoom controls back then.
I was experiementing with a USB digital TV tuner (DVB-T) so having live TV from an aerial runnning fullscreen on one side of the cube ready to flip over if something sounded interesting.

It's a very unique git forge in that it's predicated around use of a mailing list, but it has everything else you'd possibly want built right in, like CI, tickets, really good markdown parsing, and generally it's just very efficient.

@clarice oncemore Thank you for getting back to me! I did indeed fuzzy the body. I also have become the queen of watching YouTube videos on how to do fuzz. Most of them were for bigger paintings than this one.
I have never even heard of a stencil/stiple brush before. I shall have to look into them! I just purchased a fan brush on a whim. Now I want to figure out how to use it. It looks like it would be good for creating soft cross-hatching.
Yesterday I did splatter painting for the first time in order to create particulate matter for an underwater scene. Wow! That was so much fun! I'm going to have to find excuses to do that on a regular basis. I now also need to buy a new wooden kitchen spoon. But, I'm willing to make the sacrifice. My last revelation was using a sponge. Next thing you know I will be raiding the kitchen for broccoli and spaghetti to dip into paint and apply to a canvas.
