This is pretty neat! Steam making demo releases behave essentially like F2P releases doesn't really erode space indies were leveraging. In fact it shoulders in on a space currently dominated by uhhhh mostly garbage.

Sadly we don't have good options, we just have less bad options and right now the least bad is probably Firefox.
Technically there are Firefox forks but most aren't hard forks and are still reliant ultimately upon upstream
