For the past few months, I've had the opportunity to be a tester for the fair-trade @murena @Fairphone in the US, running the de-Googled e/OS version of Android. We have worked out a lot of kinks, and it is now genuinely a fantastic daily-driver phone.

Today, it's out in the US. Please take this seriously as an option for your next device: murena.com/murena-fairphone-4-…

in reply to Nathan Schneider

How would you compare it to the Sailfish-based jolla-devices.com/jolla-jolla/ option?
in reply to Jon Udell

@judell Haven't tried that one. But the Fairphone stands out in being focused on both highly repairable and fair-trade in terms of supply chains.
in reply to Nathan Schneider

@judell Also, e/OS runs all Android apps, whereas Sailfish is based on desktop Linux.
in reply to Nathan Schneider

Yup. I wonder what @cyberlyra thinks, she's the only person I know with a Sailfish phone.
in reply to Nathan Schneider

I suspect this is going to sound ridiculous, but - do you know whether the Fairphone is compatible with the Google Fi mobile service?
We're on Fi because it offers the best coverage, reliability, and pricing where we live and regularly travel. But I would *love* to replace my Moto phone with a Fairphone for all the device-level benefits!!

How that Steam Summer Sale feeling gets you:
This entry was edited (2 years ago)

This year I bought three DLC packs for games I'm playing. I might buy a few more. I'm not buying anything new until I get my unfinished games to single digits and my unplayed games to double-digits.

So I need to start four more games and then beat nine games. I figure by the next Steam sale I will easily get there, but I can't buy so many games that I will be at 100 unplayed games, so I will have a very limited amount I can buy.

Great, except I've had terrible trouble getting (or keeping) non-steam running on Linux.

I had AC Valhalla and RDR2 from Epic. AC worked originally, then broke, then worked, then broke ... RDR2 took three days of my time, and never worked.

Bought both in the steam sale, both worked out of the box.

so happy that over the past several years prey has gotten more and more recognition. One of my favorite games of the past decade. Hope this means even more folks will give it a try.

And even more importantly. What topping should i put on that piece of toast?

I promised the guy who bought me a key I'd play it on stream, so I guess it's time

I'm with Vietnam on this. Though I wouldn't ban the Barbie movie, it would be worth having a re-edit.

What is the ‘nine-dash line’ and what does it have to do with the Barbie movie?

in reply to Muse

Oh, I just randomly saw another Barbie spot with a much better view of the "Real World Map":

There aren't just two dotted lines. There are at least four, and they seem to indicate routes between countries/continents. (And sorry, Canada, you don't exist. North America is simply The United States.)

@Isaac Kuo HAHAHA!! Sorry for the laughter. New Zealand is so BIG!

Our universe is rippling with waves caused by massive events, such as merging black holes. Up until yesterday, we didn’t have any evidence of long-wavelength, ‘background’ #GravitationalWaves. But now @nanograv has announced a detection! A network of pulsars measured very carefully has revealed a faint hum in spacetime itself. Though luckily you don’t need pulsars to detect these cookies, a mouth works just fine 😉

Not sure why custom templates only work for polls, not proposals, or if that matters. But I reached out to Loomio about this.
