I tried Ardour awhile back, would like to revisit it and maybe try getting a good room mic and usb interface as a starter setup for recording.
in reply to dave

I've switched completely from Pro Tools to Ardour and haven't missed a thing.

That article was a fun read.

Actually, I've trained my cats to do a number of tricks. But yeah, they do like doing their own thing!

I love this version of "We must believe in magic". The song is about travel in space, but the muppets make it look like it's about a ghost ship. I actually used this song in a show I wrote about space pirates--as you do!

Baldur's Gate 3 out now and works on Steam Deck and desktop Linux gamingonlinux.com/2023/08/bald… #BG3 #BaldursGate3 #SteamDeck #Linux
in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux 🐧🎮

I was playing it for a few hours tonight!

It's really well done and runs perfectly on Linux (Fedora Silverblue, Steam Flatpak, AMD GPU).

The one issue I did hit was accidentally enabling cross-save, where it tried to sync (and the server must be super busy at the moment) and it hung, preventing saving from happening.

Cross-save is probably only needed for console to PC & back — I'm assuming Steam PC to Steam Deck works via Steam.

Anyway, people should have cross-save off. 😉

Water vapor, carbon dioxide & sulfur dioxide are the most abundant gases in volcanic plumes.

According to satellite sensors like TROPOMI and OMI, winds have mostly pushed the plume over the Atlantic Ocean, but has also affected air quality in Reykjavík.

Los materiales tóxicos de los residuos tecnológicos contaminan el suelo y las fuentes de agua, como en la extracción de minerales.

Muchas naciones los exportan a países con normativas laxas y bajos costos laborales, creando "cementerios electrónicos" 👇
