Can't publish public when mentioning forum pages

Links to the bugresearch I'm working on with respect to the avatar profile change issue that happend and is mentioned above.

Note: The following link is a reply in a post to gather in general info about bugs or unexpected behavior so over all this might look a little bit confusing as it is a work in progress to be able from there to created a comprehensive bug report.

I'm leaving these links here for the sake of documentation.

Change of profile while uploading avatar issue:

Change of profile while trying to fix email address issue of the page gimped:

status relation with gimped forum

It's an independend page, created by the admin page in the moderation panel adding a new user. Unintentionally the admin email was used to do so.

Status:
You are mutual friends with gimped

not hidden nor notifictions set

in reply to Michael 🇺🇦

learning question

Why is it that the following "reshares" are public, I'm able to pin them and show up on the respective profile stream of that forum page:
aus.social/@radicalxstitch/111…
tupambae.org/display/0ac89072-…

The forum page (permaculture) was created by this profile contrary to the "gimped" forum above which is an "independent" account. The tutorial forum page mentioned above also was created by this profile here but isn't followed by this profile.

in reply to utopiArte

Tried to publish a comment from the gimped forum as a comment here.
Apparently that comment didn't make it to this post.

Here is the content:

As of now, this forum page is set as:
Private Forum
[Experimental]Requires manual approval of contact requests.

Maybe that has something to do with it?

In the profile page there are "public" posts by a mastodon profile that figures as "Mutual friendship" in the contacts list, same as the friendica utopiarte profile whose posts figure as "private message" to this forum page.

Proprietary US file sync & share firm Kiteworks just bought ownCloud as well as Dracoon and some other EU companies.

Luckily we offer you a smooth, well tested migration to Nextcloud.

Check our website or read our blog post!

this is sad.

I started out using ownCloud before moving to NextCloud. Sad to see any project being bought out like that.

Still, shows @nextcloud model is working.

in reply to Nextcloud 📱☁️💻

New gigging Game Boy!

Having a Game Boy chassis made entirely of aluminum is probably overkill, but I need my gigging gear to be as robust as possible.

Day 7: Ten Days, Ten Films.

This is a lot of fun! So long as I don’t make this too hard or too easy!
Over ten days you pick an image from a film without any title to give away where it is from, so that people can guess. You can also nominate others to do the same. That way more people are in on the game! (or not–your choice 😀 )

But remember: NO SPOILERS! If you recognise a film, don’t say what it is! Say something that indicates you know, but allows others to guess as well. Your messages then become helpful hints!

Today's movie may be a little obscure, but the Diaspora Garrulous Grand Council should recognise it!
@Cass M

no spoilers

#TenDaysTenFilmsTenFriends or #TenDaysTenFilmsNoFriends

in reply to Muse

I will give three hints:
1) This is a television movie
2) It was filmed in Canada!
3) It's a holiday film
in reply to Muse

And here is the answer!

But it seems, that birds can cope somewhat with this phenomena. From

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geomagne…

"Reversal occurrences are statistically random. There have been at least 183 reversals over the last 83 million years (on average once every ~450,000 years)."

But it I think it would be interesting to see what birds are doing during such changes.

A 15 minute baseline is about 415 km, about 16 million inches, so say the equivalent eye spacing of a human enlarged ~6-8 million times. Jupiter at opposition is at 600 million km says Wolfram alpha, so this is like seeing a 25 km sphere 100 km away with normal depth perception. Not bad!

Yes that title is an actual plot point in this game #KingdomHearts youtube.com/watch?v=56DqcaeayD…
in reply to Brodie Robertson

That was so dumb lmao. Like it'd make sense if the "X" was a manifestation of the Recusant Sigil, but it's straight up just two straps on his attire. Does this imply that Xenahort was always aware of the status of any "X"s that exist? Does Yen Sid make sure that no lines on his tower ever intersect, to make sure Xehanort can't apy on him?

(I'll admit I was a bit distracted for that particular revelation so I might be wrong about the explanation)

The Very Late Steam Deck OLED Review #Linux #YouTube youtu.be/VMaeaooF6ds
in reply to Brodie Robertson

They send you a handheld for free, because it runs Linux and you are a Linux youtuber and you make a review only highlighting the things that you don’t like (except for the screen) and which are not (yet) working. I mean, I appreciate your honesty, but this review is so full of negativity that I think that couldn’t even have been your intention to make that device look that bad.
in reply to user8e8f87e

@user8e8f87c There's a lot I like about the device but if Valve wanted an ad they would pay people, instead they wanted people to actually talk about it and I have a lot of things I'd like to see improved
in reply to Brodie Robertson

You critic is totally fine and if there’s nothing positive to tell about the device from your point of view that’s totally fair.
in reply to Brodie Robertson

Am I missing something or did you forget to mention that you can type more easily by using the touchscreen?

People on Twitter think I’ve disappeared but the quoted post literally says where to find me. 😁

Many Native American Indian nations celebrate a day of thanks for the bounties found in autumn.

When the pilgrims settled Turtle Island (the original name for "North America" by many peoples), they brought with them their European farming practices, and were struggling. That moment when the Wampanoag people decided to show some neighborly kindness is an important one. The people from Europe and the people from Turtle Island were able to come together in peace, even if only for one meal.

Now every year people are reminded that we were once kind to each other. And now we need to think about how kindness needs to be returned.

I do not want to denounce Thanksgiving. I want to use it to open people’s eyes.

Apologies, looks like it's £130 for EU orders, £70 is for UK ones. There is a FAQ section on the store that goes into detail.
in reply to Eugen Rochko

I put €180 / £157 in my shopping cart to test it out, and shipping costs are still 17 euros for France.

Isn't it possible to open a store in Europe to reduce shipping costs?
