Someone linked to a bug in the screenshot tool in plasma 6 in the arch linux matrix room (i think in offtopic one), which is pretty bad enough. In some cases, black boxes are shown instead of selecting the screenshot area. It was something like that, dont remember exactly. This might be a reason why things are held back.
Will try to see if I can find the bug report once again on kde's bugtracker
they are probably waiting for the 6.0.1 release tomorrow.
