Say: Boycott this MS Bullshit.
For Decades they do their toxic "EEE*" Bullshit to takeover even more Product Categories.
Since a while they're focussing on Linux and its ecosystem, and nobody seems to realize this.
Sounds like a promising entry-level TUI text editor. When I started with the terminal, I was very used to GUI keymappings like copy/paste. This could reduce the learning curve significantly for people who just want to run some terminal commands.
(also, people are memeing on it already, and now I understand the memes)
One of my favourite shows as a kid was the Mel Brooks TV series When Things Were Rotten. I loved the Robin Hood stories and I loved Bugs Bunny. This brought both of those together on a weekly basis! I just discovered I can re-watch complete episodes on YouTube. They are still funny! I would suggest starting with the second episode. The first one is a little wobbly. I hope I continue to laugh as I go through them. @Samuel Smith I think you and your family might get a kick!

I went through a similar process to this fellow's mum. It's one reason why I am so patient with right-wing people who sometime wander into Diaspora. Sometimes I can talk them over to the left. It just depends, but usually I can spot someone who could use a little kindness and thereby learn a little kindness.

It is with a heavy heart that I receive the news that one of the most sensitive human lenses that accompanied the Amazon biome, today, left our material world to live the immaterial world. Sebastião Salgado’s works were present in my geography and history books at school and were part not only of the history of Brazil by bringing visibility to traditional peoples; but also contributed immensely to the awareness of the preservation of the biomes in Pindorama.
Everything he built as a photographer overflowed with sensitivity and respect with those who teach us the most about life and mother earth.
Sebastião Salgado leaves us a huge legacy 📷

@Friendica Support Hi!
I want to try channels for filtering. First thing I tried is setting up a channel which includes all posts similar to the "Latest post" one. In general it is working, all posts which I see in "Latest posts" are available but I can't see my own posts when selecting the self created channel.
In "Latest post" I can see my posts as expected.
This is my configuration, pretty basic at the moment (all languages are selected):
Am I doing something wrong? Is this intended or a bug maybe?

At FOSDEM 2011 I attended the talk of @ossington about the #libregraphicsmagazine. I met her, @aiscarvalho and @rlafuente afterwards. It was a pleasure getting to know them and meeting them at FOSDEM the following years.
The talk:
- archive.fosdem.org/2011/schedu…
The video:
- video.fosdem.org/2011/lightnin…
I cannot tell what gem the libre graphics magazine is.
They lived the future 15 years ago.
You have to read to understand:
- libregraphicsmag.com/index.htm…
Everything was made with free software using open tools and developing open tools.
The mindset of these 3 human beings, the thoughtfulness of how a future might look like where people are not just consuming but contributing and communicating with each other is unmatched.
Thank you for the libre graphics magazine.
Today I received the last issue, which I was still missing.
China’s Economic Problem Isn’t Just ‘Japanification’ – It May Be Worse
China faces a “toxic combination” of deflation and devaluation which Japan did not experience. It may be a sign of greater economic instability.Forbes

As someone who maintains manufacturing plants, I believe China has the strongest and fastest supply chains. They appear not to have the crazy patent laws we do that will destroy those who wish to make something and sell it.
If I need several lifetime's supply of a lifesaving drug, all I need to know is the CAS number, and a Chinese sales agent knows how to find chemists to make a kilogram of the pure raw product for about a thousand dollars, about the price we pay for about a tenth of a gram. And yes, they are frequently verified by NMR here to be high quality.
The Chinese appear to have the fastest and most advanced electronics supply chains too. Design it and various Chinese vendors can have circuit boards with a dozen layers made overnight and populated with parts the next day and then sent for validation testing in climate chambers. Each step here is slow and horrifically expensive and the IP lawyers are likely to knock at the door and threaten to sue for everything you have.
Making anything here is a real challenge.
