On both Fedora KDE and GNOME there are discussions to fully drop X11, the KDE discussion is a lot further ahead if not this release, I wouldnt be surprised if the GNOME side follows suit in a near future release as well.
Nothing at this stage is confirmed but unless something major comes up I don't see the KDE proposal being rejected

One great thing about Wayland is its superior battery performance.
I still run i3wm on my desktop, but on my laptop, I completely switched to Hyprland and it feels like I am getting more than twice the battery time. Any idea why Xorg (or i3wm) has such poor battery performance?

I could certainly be wrong here, but a quick search shows that the same ANG Squadron had F-16s based there before the F-35, and F-4s before that since 1980. Neither of those are any quieter than the F-35.
My point: anyone that lives in the flight path canโt say they didnโt know there was an airport, and they canโt say they didnโt know there were jets.
I agree that the military is over-funded, and welcome those complaints. But the noise complaints are BS.

I heard about that bookshop and took a trip there especially for it. A pretty incredible bookshop but too hot for me. Plus I prefer not used books and they have a lot of used books if memory serves me right. As a bibliophile I both enjoyed and was appalled at the tunnel. It's sacrilegious.
To those who want to move there be aware that LA parking is very bad and that area is not so nice either. The streets there are pretty awful too - some one lane streets. Not as nice as you think.
