Four Republican US senators have broken ranks and voted with the Democrats in an effort to block President Donald Trump's tariffs against Canada. Cat #PSA: If you clip your (indoor) cat's claws, at the beginning you need to trim a little bit every few days; as the quick recedes gradually, the claws can be trimmed shorter, and they'll be easier to maintain. I noticed that the cats are having an easier time controlling them when they're shorter.

Diagram of how to trim a cat's claw. The first part shows a short nail with the blood supply, also called quick or Kwik. Then longer claw with a long quick running trough, the blood supply gets longer with the nail, a shallow cut that runs trough the blood vessel will cause bleeding and the nail will still be too long. A smaller trim will cause the blood supply to get shorter. If you clip or file a little bit of the long nail, every few days, the blood supply will continue to recede, showing a cat claw decreasing in size. As the nail gets shorter so does the blood supply. Only when the nail is kept short it can be trimmed without bleeding, if the same cut had been made on the long nail it would have caused bleeding. Showing a cut in a now much shorter claw. i honestly expected colo(u)r picker to win! :blobcatsurprised:

merging the two spellings, colour picker is at 27%, which does make it the second most commonly chosen response, but it's still way behind pipette's 56%

despite photoshop calling it the eyedropper, that option is in a distant third place, losing only to turkey baster. this isn't my screenshot (i don't have photoshop), so i can't say whether they change "color sampler" to "colour sampler" if you use other english dialects

gimp calls it the colOr picker with my system set to australian english - but they do spell it as "colour" in the british english localisation 🥴

inkscape calls it the "dropper tool", and prompts me to select colOUrs from the document

hilariously, KDE's kolOUrpaint calls it the "colOr picker"
