Just read an article detailing how Microsoft executives are confused and upset that people don't appreciate their AI features and don't like people giving them shit about them on Twitter. "How are people not impressed with this stuff?"
Fellas, have you used the internet lately? It's fucked. Have you used Windows? Fucked. It's shit. People are sick of it being shit, because it didn't used to be as shit as this. You've gone and fucked everything, that's why people aren't happy with you.
@Gargron I grew up in Sweden, where the edible ones don't grow naturally, so I never saw one until I was adult, probably somewhere in France.
Sweden does have the inedible ones though, which are not edible and very hard. Useful as something you throw when you play as a kid. 🙂
AI-generated "evidence" is infecting the legal system. Until judges come down HARD on the the lawyers doing this stuff -- and until some of the lawyers are disbarred -- these sleazebags will poison the system completely.

Before the American Revolution, Native nations guarded their societies against tyranny
"Many of these societies required convening all of the people – men, women and children – for major political, military, diplomatic and land-use decisions. Hundreds or even thousands might show up, depending on how momentous the decision was."
Before the American Revolution, Native nations guarded their societies against tyranny
Native American communities were elaborate consensus democracies, many of which had survived for generations because of careful attention to checking and balancing power. The Conversation

I'm a mix breed. "We" means either Chickasaw or European for me.
The original peoples of Turtle Island went through their own stages of collective political growth, and their systems matured at different rates across the continent.
The European peoples had a need to escape their own oppressive cultures. Sadly, they did not look deeply enough into what values and outlooks were the core of their troubles, and thereby brought their problems with them. Because they advanced technologically faster than they grew in wisdom, they had the means to simply become the people they sought to escape.

in reply to It's FOSS • • •Doomed.
It was popular, but actually the stacking hat idea was poor and the IDE underwhelming.
I've got a board, but usually I just put a PIC18F on stripboard with desired I/O, programming header and maybe a USB socket. Early ones in Assembler or C, later ones programmed in JAL.
Or use a Raspberry Pi, though I think HW form factor / layout is poor.
My Arduino is gathering dust.
I guess Adafruit will be looking for a replacement platform.
