The second person is correct and linux being small on desktops is because it is not mass manipulation compatible.
Windows and MacOS are dumbing people down, making them use high tech that costs millions to make (the machines building computer parts are prohibitively expensive) without being aware of the labor that went into them.
Normalizing monopolists like microsoft or apple is just another way of making excuses for mass exploitation.
Microsoft and Apple need to be taken down.

Nice. I assume once it's actually used, it will mean a performance boost over extensions like uBlock Origin.
What I don't understand though, is how many anti-fans Mozilla has. Every time they announce anything, comments are full of FUD.

Many people think humility is about being extremely small or not thinking much of oneself, but in my mind, humility is about being the right size in a given situation.
There are two ditches we can fall into. One side is self-aggrandizement, which most people want to avoid. The other side is self-deprecation or being too small in a given situation. Humility is the Aristotelian golden mean between those ditches. It’s being the right size in a given situation.
Other aspects of humility include:
~ the ability to know ourselves, to have an accurate view of who we are
~ to check our selfish motivations and to reel in our defensiveness, and
~ to go beyond ourselves, to consider the well-being of someone else as equal to our own.
This is how humility is an antidote to narcissism: it reels us back in from this over-inflated sense of self to making us just the right size.

From "The Arrogant Ape" by Christine Webb:
"Consider “do-nothing farming” (a.k.a. “the Fukuoka Method,” named for the Japanese farmer and philosopher who developed it), which recognizes a natural intelligence at work in the land, emphasizing minimal human intervention and allowing the ecosystem to balance itself and improve soil health naturally."
my method of lawn/garden work. 😀 😀 😀
I just got this book from library and skipped right to the final chapter (was that arrogant? lacking humility? dunno I already am in this camp) -- killer conclusion!
Hope, Humility!

in reply to It's FOSS • • •I will probably try it in a VM. However, I will wait until Mint incorporates it into their next LTS release before I do anything with it as daily use (and even then, I will test in a VM first to make sure it works well for my needs on my hardware).
I don't like the Gnome desktop and have not had good experiences with Ubuntu main since I tried 12.04 and 14.04 (I skipped 16.04, and 18.04 also did not work for me). Kubuntu is my back-up OS so I may upgrade that to 26.04
