I sense an impostor among us. 🧐

the first push was in 1994, I had just bought my first PC, and was inquisitive, but I initially stuck to #Windows, the second in 2002, I was looking for a robust server stack for JEE, webprofile at my employer and chose suse linux enterprise, finally in 2022 I wanted to regain full control over my private machines again, better stability and maintainability and to protect myself from bigtech's data collection frenzy - #linux delivers in all aspects

Well, well, well, how the turntables. 😏

Generally solid. I’m still pissed at the obstinate publishers insisting on maintaining kernel-level anti-cheat for good multiplayer games, and the increasingly common requirement for secure boot. Wow that is a hard one to answer as I don't use any #Proprietary tools
Back before I moved to Linux & was still on #Windows7 2019, I went out of my way to not use proprietary tools & only used open source tools & tools ported to #Windows from #Linux.
A cheap answer from me would be: #Okular & #Firefox replaced #Adobe Reader for PDFs
The thing about proprietary #Software is you have to pay for it & I was never into that🏴‍☠️ 🦜️
On #Android I've been replacing proprietary Apps with open source
