Thinking about how white queers have an easier time being coded as queer than PoC. Queercoding is informed by mainstream representation of queer aesthetics (of course, there's no definite way to tell if people are queer by apperance; I'm only speaking about the existence of stereotypical aesthetics) which is largely white.
White queer classmates get they/thems. Where's my they/them? Is it because you don't think an Asian person could be queer?

I have had a beer. I am currently imbibing a strong Sailor Jerry and Coke Zero. Only one thing to do.
Letโs push some commits to this git repo. What could possibly go wrong? ?

I'm a visual #artist working who builds #interactive digital media installations. I'm a supporter of #opensource and #commonage or #commons (digital and physical).
I am working on projects about 'networks' (woodland, digital, human) and planning to use a platform for a project in the UK later this year.
Look forward to meeting #artist #curator #environmentalist #programmer or anyone interested in a world built on community!
I'll post some recent #artworks here to get started.

Delta Chat: what if DMs but with email?
I'm guessing it's preferable to have a seperate email for deltachat, no? With the spammy word and sentences long messages in chat it's probably quite spammy when doing more organizational stuff.
Seems like a super tool. Something I'd definately have to get into.
A few years ago I thought that not being able to even draw a cloud was a very silly limit, and decided to try to get past it - and see how long it would have taken me.
Here are some pictures, from time 0 (before starting to study) to around 20 hours of studying and trying.
Feel free to laugh at my time 0 drawing, it's ridiculous, I know. I'm still bad at it, but it felt good to overcome a mental obstacle. Oftentimes, it takes less than one may think!

I think if AP does catch on businesses will use their own DNS for their accounts.
It is basically what the Twitter checkmark was originally designed for, so that you can verify that they match up with the official site.
I imagine at some point having $brand@m.s will be purely for parody accounts.
Though, I get your argument. It's like owning a franchise of McDonalds, but only ever eating soylent. Shouldn't keybase be living by example?
"The Eight Fallacies of Distributed Computing, L. Peter Deutsch
1. The network is reliable
2. Latency is zero
3. Bandwidth if infinite
4. The network is secure
5. Topology doesn't change
6. There is one administrator
7. Transport cost is zero
8. The network is homogeneous"

not to mention that CSS is incredibly complex. it supports keyframed, interpolated animations with customizable timing functions. and color filters (sepia, hue rotation, grayscale), arbitrary box and text shadows, blurring (of anything), outlines, borders, masking, shaping, font smoothing, text direction, flex, grid, text decorations, overflow, 3D and 2D transformations etc.
it's so incredibly powerful, but seemingly "impossible" to implement...
If Firefox dies, I wonder if browsers will stop pretending to be Netscape
probably not, but one can dream

Friend: Are you OK? You haven't posted on Instagram in ages
Me: I quit FB, Instagram, and Twitter.
Friend: Why'd you quit the internet?
Me: Actually I've *rejoined* the Internet.
Next time someone asked me why did I leave the internet, I'm gonna say I'm still very much on the Internet. When are *you* coming back?
