Started my first round of Chenopodium album in the exact sand I found it growing in at the beach. Washed, sifted, and flooded with InstantOcean artificial seawater at same salinity. If these germinate, this is gonna be fun!

heya, could you make sure your posts have alt text. I try not to boost stuff that doesn't have any, but you're doing interesting work and I want to make sure the wider fediverse gets to see it

Good luck. I hope I can watch the launch tomorrow together with my son (5 years). He knows the SLS from a big rocket poster, so he is eagerly waiting for the launch. He has to go to kindergarten at 8 CET, so please launch on time!

Incredible views as Cassada and Rubio work on installing the right struts for upcoming solar array upgrades. They will start cleanup and head back to the airlock after installing the right mid strut. 🔧🌏 #ISS

I think that this #portable #famicom #chipmusic rig is ready for prime-time!

I've got some fun #NES #2A03 tunes—some using the #MIDINES—that I've never done live because I didn't have a reliable way to perform them live, but as I've been testing out the reliability of this setup, I think it's pretty doable now!

I'll need to start looking for gigs soon. 😵☠️💀.

Earth is an oasis not only in space, but in time. Every planet and star is a fleeting thing in the lifespan of the universe, but some stars live longer, billions of years longer, than others. So, what might that mean in our search for life beyond Earth? go.nasa.gov/3X79HhI #NASAExoplanets
in reply to NASA

what do we mean by habitable zone? surely any planetary body with a hot core or abundant radioactive elements that can produce enough heat to maintain a subsurface ocean , currents and mineral cycle can support life? Europa? Enceladus? Pluto?

Evan Prodromou, who helped inspire & create the #ActivityPub protocol that makes @Mastodon run, called this recent #Twittermigration a “tipping point”.

“I have not been this excited about federated social networks since we published ActivityPub. The shift has started. … We’re doing this. Don’t be on the wrong side of history.” @evan

Success! #OTD 56 years ago, Gemini XII splashed down into the Atlantic Ocean 4 days after it had been launched into space, with astronauts Jim Lovell and Buzz Aldrin onboard! Postflight medical examination determined both astronauts were in good shape. 🧑🚀🧑🚀 #NASAhistory
in reply to NASA

My dad was an AC on the U.S.S. Wasp for several of the Gemini recoveries, including this one. I have a memorial envelope (created by the ship's post office) with Lovell's autograph (along with envelopes for other Gemini missions, including a photograph of Neil Armstrong's crew with his autograph). This is one of the reasons I've been a proponent of NASA and space exploration since my youth. Thank you for posting this.

updated to indicate only glitch-soc is affected. There are other security updates in mastodon 4.0.x so not wasted effort to update if not running glitch-soc

This message for everyone on the fediverse:

First, please ensure you go into your account settings and enable two/multi factor authentication. No, I mean do it right now. I’ll wait till you’re done.

Ok, thank you.

Now, if you are the admin of a mastodon instance running glitch-soc, please go upgrade to 4.0.2 ASAP.
