Experiment: single palette (4 colour) #NES art. Drew in krita, then tidied up in aseprite and NEXXT until he fit into the NES restrictions.
Every 8x8 pixel region of the display has to show one tile from the limited tilemap (top right of image), so it's important to reuse tiles where possible. It's a bit like a jigsaw puzzle where you draw the pieces yourself.. and can reuse the same piece many times #gamedev

I've got some fun #NES #2A03 tunes—some using the #MIDINES—that I've never done live because I didn't have a reliable way to perform them live, but as I've been testing out the reliability of this setup, I think it's pretty doable now!
I'll need to start looking for gigs soon. 😵☠️💀.
I can power it with a portable USB battery and it packs away easily into a small bag. Great way to get my #2A03, #MIDINES fix on the go!
