So many things that don't get considered when writing fiction about time travel. I once wrote a story about the beginnings of time travel and how much computation would have to go into it so that you wouldn't end up blasted from landing partially in a wall, or alternatively dying from asphixiation in space. I'm going to suggest that these are great on a local terminal, but the original commands may be better when using a remote terminal (particularly with a low bandwidth connection) and all that's practical with low resource embedded devices.
By all means, use the new tools, just saying users should learn the old ones too.
