The motif was originally a kind of idea sketch for a stage background. The whole thing has developed in a different direction and it disappeared into the depths of my hard drive (of such images there are plenty). The format bothered me from the start, didn't come into its own on any screen, but conveyed the idea with the paper planes well. Then #Procreate came along and it has 3D objects on board, e.g. a skateboard - that's when it clicked ;)

(English text below) Eine Illustration in einem länglichen, ovalen, hochkant Format. Im oberen Viertel erkennt man eine Sonne und eine spiralförmige Galaxie. Darunter sieht man einen zusammengeflickten Metallmond mit freundlichem Gesicht und einer sehr langen spitzen Nase. Auf der Nase steht ein Mann in Musketier-Kleidung, ebenfalls mit sehr langer spitzen Nase. Der Mann ist Cyrano de Bergerac auf dem Rückweg von seiner Mondreise zur Erde. Er wirft einen zerknüllten Brief in den Weltraum. Dieser entfaltet sich auf dem Weg nach unten zur Erde und wird zu einem Papierflieger. Die Flugbahn wird durch eine verschnörkelte Schreibschrift nachgezogen. Dort steht (kaum zu lesen): ,Songez à librement vivre', was übersetzt bedeutet, Seid bedacht, frei zu leben.

English text: An illustration in an elongated, oval, portrait format. In the upper quarter you can see a sun and a spiral galaxy. Below you can see a patched up metal moon with a friendly face and a very long pointed nose. On the nose stands a man in musketeer clothes, also with a very long pointed nose. The man is Cyrano de Bergerac on his way back to Earth from his trip to the moon. He throws a crumpled letter into space. This unfolds on its way down to earth and becomes a paper airplane. The flight path is traced by squiggly cursive writing. There it says (barely legible): Songez à librement vivre', which translates as, Be mindful to live freely.

This #art piece I also wanna share has been one of my biggest works recently.

Most of my pieces are centered around my #originalcharacter s RGB-chan and CMYK-chan. As the names can tell they're based on the two main color modes. They're both #LGBT and dating! 🥰 So what you'll find here are lots of fluffy #wlw drawings!

A warm evening in a Harajuku-esque neighborhood. RGB-chan and CMYK-chan went to get filled crêpes and RGB-chan being the social media nut she is took lots of pictures, including one surprise smooch towards CMYK-chan! The latter now hides behind her snack very flustered while her girlfriend shows her the cute photos.

Last year I started to really get into more complex backgrounds. Especially urban areas, perspective and less "natural" sceneries were what I wanted to challenge myself at. So I drew my #OCs (as I always do) in their natural surroundings - a modern urban city filled with #graphicdesign puns and references!

I think I actually got some kind of coherent story out of it - completely unplanned!

"Hurry up you slowpoke! We're gonna miss the train!" RGB-chan yelled, grabbing CMYK-chans hand. The metro to Kerning Road is about to depart, passing through Crop Square and Pixel Street. The sun is about to set, engulfing her girlfriend into a warm atmosphere as she sprints towards the closing doors.

Tapped out - that day way way too long for CMYK-chan. She sunk half asleep onto her girlfriend RGB-chans shoulder while riding the train back home. The sun is setting through the train window, shinining onto the skyline. Every day is just made better spending it with your partner. ❤️

Retro game evening 💖🎮🕹️👾
RGB-chan is not very strategic in her RPGs (neither am I...) and CMYK-chan got stuck as her gf's personal healer but she doesn't mind. Except when they run into a wave of foes, the "Pixels" with some of them even trying to ambush the duo.
