Hey video folks! Hyper 8 Video System 0.24 - the last beta ahead of the 1.0 release in October (!!) ^^ - is out as of today!
Above all else this release turns #hyper8 into a full-fledged desktop application. 👍 This in turn means that I'm overhauling and extending all packaging processes (and will keep doing so the coming days) and today is therefore more of a "soft launch" 😀
Debian, Arch and Windows are already provided with packages for the full desktop edition, macOS for the time being still with a homebrew-based CLI only build (with an apple silicon .app release in the making) and there are likely more Linux packages coming still. 8) I'll do the full, formal announcement as soon as all packages are in place ...

Setting up a relay takes a bit of technical knowledge but running one doesn't cost that much; you can get a suitable VPS for a few €/month.
So if you just cancelled your Disney+, why not consider putting that money to a good cause? Or maybe donate some of that money to your Mastodon instance?
