After bankruptcy, solar panel customers say they’re left in the dark

The Steam Deck stock article was amended to note it's out of stock in "the EU in addition to USA, Canada and Japan", as other Asian regions do have some stock left: gamingonlinux.com/2026/02/stea…
Also adjusted to be clearer on the EU, not Europe specifically.
Steam Deck now out of stock in the EU in addition to USA, Canada and Japan
Unfortunately the stock availability of the Steam Deck has only worsened recently, with the EU now appearing to be completely out of stock.Liam Dawe (GamingOnLinux)
And I loved this comment :

The reason why RAM has become four times more expensive is that a huge amount of RAM that has not yet been produced was purchased with non-existent money to be installed in GPUs that also have not yet been produced, in order to place them in data centers that have not yet been built, powered by infrastructure that may never appear, to satisfy demand that does not actually exist and to obtain profit that is mathematically impossible.

cool that this is on the cheap, but it sounds like O'Reilly is pushing AI on their editors...which is enough for me to spend my money elsewhere.

This is so good to see. The people trying to bring in "ranked choice voting" may not understand their politician's reticence. Their politicians may all too readily see that this could lead to a multi-party system, and not just a two-party system. Politicians would have to work harder to secure a political career.

Kansas City illustrator turns library checkout cards into tiny works of art. She only gets 'one shot'
Heidi Pitre’s series merges literature, nostalgia, and history, featuring pen-and-ink drawings on about 160 vintage library checkout cards. Interest in the pieces has expanded, but her supply of old-school, ephemeral cards is dwindling.Laura Spencer (KCUR)

Is anyone able to help me understand #roblox?
My children enjoy playing, but both of their accounts were suddenly banned (or deleted?) today and we don’t know why.
I sent an appeal but I have two sad kiddos. I don’t play and I’m not familiar with how it works, but I’d appreciate any insight on this or suggestions about how to get it working again. #gaming
Maybe try to get your into some other games - like narrative driven kids games (not online), since online platforms like Roblox are full of adults trying to exploit kids and they have a whole economy from that using the platform's money system.
Your kids will get over it eventually. As much as it sucks now, they are safer for it.
All the best to you and your kiddos!

@neauoire I don't think so, I have done a fair bit of LISP/Scheme things including writing a compiler and then making it self hosting in my youth though. My conclusion from that was that homoiconicity is extremely cool, though in practice taping a macro system to an existing non-homoiconic language solves most problems just as well.
(Just because we are recommending stuff, rn, I think you might enjoy youtube.com/watch?v=mQnKZr97y7…)

@clarice overhere The CIA are more likely to come after Andrew than the FBI, just because they do most of the overseas work.
Wouldn't that have been nice if the US actually followed through on their original aspirations? Of course even in the beginning the States had the right to determine who could vote, and it was mostly just the landed "gentry". Universal (white) Manhood Suffrage didn't come until 1856. (White) Women didn't get the vote until 1920. People of colour had to wait until 1965--two years after I was born.
New Zealand were light years ahead of the rest of us for some time!
