I like auto updating systems since I don't have to do anything. I currently run a ublue image, with a login script that updates all my distroboxes.
As long as I shut the system down regularly, I don't really have to worry about updates, especially security updates.
Plus my system hasn't broken down due to an update specifically, so I haven't see any issues there either. I get wanting to manually update, but I feel like this is the best option for most people.
