This is an Open Source 3D Printer That You Can Build Yourself
Lemontron is an open source 3D printer that you can build yourself. Sounds exciting!Sourav Rudra (It's FOSS News)
Is this a joke or something?
"Expect the total cost to be around $413 (the BOM mentions $411.58) plus any shipping fees and taxes you might have to pay."
You can get capable 3D printers for less than half that price. In fact that right there is almost the price of the Prusa Mini+ Kit.
There's a newer one of this of a fellow rescuing a koala who is breaking its way into a gas plant in Western Australia, but it's only up on Facebook. This video will have to do.

It is all too easy to believe that nothing can change and people can't change. But this very belief gets in the way of making things better.
Why Some People Own Mistakes and Others Don’t
What helps us to take responsibility for our mistakes? A recent study says the key might lie with your belief that people can change.
"When you believe that your behavior can change, you are more likely to be willing to admit responsibility. A big reason why you are able to admit fault is that you recognize that once you admit what you have done wrong, you can work to make it better, and so you are not threatened by admitting mistakes. People who do not believe that they can change are stressed by admitting their mistakes, because they believe that those mistakes say something fundamental about who they are as a person."

This is ableist propaganda. Just because the system has been taking the taxes of disabled people and funneling them to inaccessible things, doesn't mean that LLMs trained on stolen creativity are the solution. When it's free or cheap, institutions like assistive tech. When it requires their own investment, they usually deny assistive tech. Because they're NOT about making things accessible. They could have done that ages ago.
Please don't boost ableist propaganda.

I'm a little surprised that no declarative or atomic featured distros were mentioned since they seem to be the new hotness (at least on some podcast networks.) Perhaps I overlooked some (like Kinoite in Fedora.)
I'll be looking forward to the next Stable release of Debian which is not particularly notable - but it just keeps working as intended and (for me) desired.

in reply to It's FOSS • • •I like Ubuntu well enough, but I did not enjoy Mint at all. It was the first distro I tried, same as many other folks I'm sure, and it nearly put me off Linux altogether. I moved to Ubuntu and am happy enough there that I've yet to try anything else yet.
These articles always tempt me a little to try other distros, but I scratch the itch just by reading them 😁
