Es ist ja eine positive Rubrik. Und natürlich muss ein Journalist sich bzw. seinen Artikel irgendwie „interessant“ machen. Ob Provokation das richtige Mittel ist, sei dahingestellt.

Ich glaube, es ist ein positives Zeichen hier erwähnt zu werden.
Technisch kann das die Zeit ja eh nicht bewerten.

No idea why, but Bing search for GOL took a solid nosedive, means we don't show up in Bing News or DuckDuckGo or any other that use Bing <_<

I went back 16 months in Bing stats, never seen a drop like it.

Google on the other hand has been absolutely fine. Frustrating.

I figured out earlier, the day it started was the day our webhost had an emergency issue and we were down for about an hour.

Probably related, but wow, Bing seriously destroys showing sites if they go down at all it seems. I assume this is still an error, because that's silly otherwise to penalise for so long after such a small issue.

might have just been down during the time bing tried to index. Might be able to request re-indexing through their search console. I had to do this with Google after I accidentally had some pages require auth when they shouldn't. Still took over a week after requesting for Google to finally index them again.

New research reveals Australian authors say no to AI using their work – even if money is on the table


For many authors, their work is more than just intellectual property. It represents their voice, their identity and years of creative labour, often undertaken with little financial return.

The idea that a machine could replicate that work without consent, credit or payment is not only unsettling; for many, it feels like a fundamental violation of creative ownership.

This is not simply a case of authors being hesitant to engage with emerging technologies. Our findings suggest a more informed and considered stance. Most respondents had a moderate or strong understanding of how generative AI models are trained. They also made clear distinctions between tools that support creativity and those designed to replace it entirely.

@lritter took a quick (read: 15min of changing the sliders in darktable) shot at the first photo and i like the result
the same picture as Eugen linked in his post but colorgraded a bit differently. the sky is more of a cyanish blue now, Amelia's hair looks a dark brown instead of pure black. contrast is generally lower, and it also has a warmer color overall.

Have you seen the comparatively low ranking of Britain in this list? Well, their universities were much more popular 5 years ago, but Brexit and a surge in right-wing isolationism in post-Brexit Britain made a considerable dent.

Your picture reminds me of pictures we took during our holidays in Yugoslavia in the 1970s. Not just the colours and the appearance of the image itself but also the scenery - It reminds me of the coast near the Istrian penninsula.

Most of those family pictures were taken on a Praktica SLR.

Maybe I should dig out my old B100 and start using it again.
