She suggested on TV that since rabbits are an invasive species damaging our ecosystem, maybe Australia should have an Easter Bilby! South Australia is also where one of our highest quality chocolate manufacturers, Haighs, is based. So, they shrugged their shoulders and went, "Why not?!"
Haighs chocolate bilbies were a hit! They sold well to Australians AND visiting tourists. The chocolatier brings them out every year at this time.

@neauoire nah this was my GOBLINS game I wrote for Commodore 64 BASIC.
The reason I was disqualified is that I did not do the game during the jam, but nowhere did it say you had to complete the game during the event.

I honestly have no idea what is normal or expected.
How much time do you spend with your review? … It is very time consuming to analyze (and overanalyze?), document, and explain proposed changes. I have heard from top brass that it takes an entire weekend every time. … And, as a sane person, I left academia for this reason.

1. If there's xlarge $ infusions involved, it means profit will always be 1st, and fuck the tech. They will never care.
2. If they'll eat their young once - and don't wince about it - they WILL do it again and enjoy it more aggressively every time.
3. Once they have a taste of their own, they'll feed on other's 'outside the family'.
They want performing monkeys, not projects with merit.

Company with +$100m in VC says one thing but does another. They're just doing the Apple "Sherlock" / Amazon "undercut and put the competition out of business" playbook.
Who's going to stop them?
I always hear about how BlueSky isn't the ATMosphere yet, time and again I see this bad behavior. They will dictate the path forward with their deep pockets.
They are incentivized to clone the good community ideas to increase their own value to pay back those VCs.
