The JiDokKo birds are interesting.. probably mostly of Shamo軍鶏 descent but not very aggressive so far... We might be eating the beautiful red rooster thud weekend... I've gotten thus urge to focus on Silkies for thrur popular gift eggs and incubating abilities and the huge JiDori birds (probably Amakusa DaiOu 天草大王) for frequent big eggs and occasional turkey-like feasts... the variety is fascinating and I guess it's more sustainable to keep some hybrid vigor around... #BackyardChickens #Jidori #JiDokKo #Silkies #烏骨鶏 #地鶏

I'm very happy with my Kobo Libra 2. A big surprise when I got it was that I stopped having insomnia. I used to read books at night on my iPhone (dark mode, low illumination, color adjusted to deduce blue light) and thought it wouldn't affect my sleep. I'd often be awake for a couple of hours during the night, but didn't think it was connected. The day I got my Kobo, the insomnia stopped. E-ink screens rock.
Very few of my books are from the Kobo store. Mostly they're sideloaded using Calibre.

What I dislike, and I know this has been discussed in the past with you wanting to stick to it, is the name. Summer/Winter/etc. are concepts to specific regions, and contrary on the other hemisphere. If you want to stick with it, please make it "northern winter".

We've had this long furling tape from Japan for the longest time, for years!! thinking it was in inches. Causing us lots of mistakes and fuck ups, the whole time we thought it was our own miscalculations, that we must have messed up in converting it to metric or something.
1) The unit on the tape is in tenth of a foot. 2) That's almost exactly 3cm, BUT NOT QUITE. 3) The ruler says FEET, but then breaks it down in 3cm segments each divided in tenth of a tenth of foot.

10 years ago, someone wrote a unit test for @servo that included a cookie expiry date of April 18, 2026. At that time Servo was only 3 years old and I'm sure 10 years in the future sounded like a long time!
Well, we're still here, and now our CI is broken until I can get another maintainer to merge github.com/servo/servo/pull/44… .
These dates were chosen 10 years ago, which I'm sure felt like a reasonably far-future date for a very young web engine. Surprise! We're still here, so we can be more bold this time.
