It's also good to see it's a retroactive move where they fix old games too and not like GFWL garbage that just ceased to function with no fixes for the games from its developers. Community had to hack those games to make them work again.
in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux 🐧🎮

Awesome, now I’ll consider buying those games.

I never understood why you need a launcher on top of Steam/Epic. All the functionality the launcher provides can be bundled up into an SDK and implemented inside the game 🤷‍♂️

I believe it was Dewey who argued (though he was not the first) that democracy requires a citizenry that has been educated in a set of democratic virtues, including concern for the common good, rational deliberation, and so on. Absent those virtues being the norm, democracy is indeed a dangerous thing! I don’t think we should give up on it, though. We need to become worthy of democracy through embodying the values and behaviors which it requires. Gød wish us luck!

Spose now is as good a time as any to announce, but we're working on our own curated anti-cheat list: gamingonlinux.com/anticheat/

A friend told me about Sea of Thieves yesterday. When looking it up, it said Easy Anti-Cheat and Steam Deck verified. As I can't find it in your list I thought I could tell you. Don't know though how you intend to fill that list.

Interesting! But why use Google search in the first place. DDG or Brave consistently produces less shit in their results these days. At least that’s my experience.
in reply to Inge P.

@ipetter Because Google is infinitely better than DDG and Brave are a terrible company
in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux 🐧🎮

I needed that one, too!

Now I need to teach the stupid Google Assistant or Google News app to ignore such sites.

Star Fox 64 is getting a Native PC port from the devs of Ocarina Of Time and Zelda Majoras Mask ports gamingonlinux.com/2024/11/star…

#Linux #LinuxGaming #PCGaming

in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux 🐧🎮

Yeah, I just had a look on wikipedia:
"As the game approached launch, Nintendo became concerned that the title "Star Fox" could be considered too similar to the name of the German company "StarVox". Thus like its predecessor, the game was rebranded as Lylat Wars in certain PAL territories."

But... they already renamed the SNES game Starwing, so why they didn't just call the N64 game Starwing 64 is beyond me. Anyway, looking forward to the recomp.
