Update from the Icelandic Met Office about the eruption at Sundhnรบkur fissure swarm in Reykjanes that began again last night.
The eruption began less intense than the previous one and is now declining. Lava has flowed westward to the north of the Svartstengi power plant / Blue Lagoon. Gas pollution is forecast to travel southward and westward.

The woman, who died between the age of 25 to 29 years, was buried with various valuable possessions, including silver jewelry and glass beads, in addition to the amber necklace. The rich jewellery reflects her elevated social status.
