Texas state Sen. Creighton has filed a bill to prohibit all public colleges and universities in Texas from granting tenure.

If SB 18 passed, it would affect employees who start after Sept. 1, 2023. The bill is one of Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick’s top priorities.
