i was like "oh wow, ok sure"
my advice to students is usually something like: the trend is short, your life is long. research what you are interested in, and make sure you can explain why you are doing it to other researchers (and to beancounters when necessary).
this is especially important for phd students: if you do a "trend project" for your phd, it will be both out of date and "cringe" by the time you hit the job market.

Catacomb's latest 1.3.0 release fixes an interesting issue:
Apparently on the PinePhone (Pro) when disabling `eg25-manager`, libinput generates a bunch of `XF86WakeUp` press/release events, ultimately ending up with the key permanently pressed. Since Catacomb supports multi-key bindings, it wouldn't trigger bindings anymore, since it only looked at the ones with `XF86WakeUp` active.

Why is micros() so much slower than millis()?
I set up a sketch to test the hz of the main loop with millis() vs micros(). With millis() hz was giving a reading between 288,935 and 289,232 but with micros is was reading 174,730 which is substantially slower.Arduino Forum
