The first in our series of social events for the project 'waking the land' saw artist Cróna Gallagher bring the spirit of a hare from Benbo Mountain into our space. The event led to a community gathering and a collective wake for the critter.

In August we are launching a series of artist-hosted social events every Thursday evening. These will be part of the project waking.land/ exploring loss and 'grievability' through the nearby site of Benbo Mountain.

Each week a different artist or group will hold space, creating a social environment to consider different research topics related to the project.

The project is a partnership with the Glens Centre supported by the Irish Hospice Foundation.
