Dan from @DanMakesThings is a complete beginner when it comes to #robotics, but he managed to build this super smart bipedal friend, which includes custom PCBs.

Motion sensors let the robot detect someone’s presence and spring into action. This feature also saves energy, as the #robot goes into power-saving mode when nobody is around. It possesses face detection and speech recognition skills too, allowing for smarter interactions with humans.

To everyone following my Gonk adventures. Inside this little fella is a @Raspberry_Pi PicoW, a mmWave presence sensor from @seeedstudio , a small mono OLED screen, a pair of green LEDs and a single Neopixel. Maker @LMcUnderwood wanted to motivate her family to up that step count, so she created a #RaspberryPi Pico W-powered motivational tool to let them see their progress and drag them through those last tough thousand or so miles.

They’re aiming to run the distance to the ISS between them so she built a ladder with an ISS model up top which lights up to show them how far they’ve come.
