@Castopod :podcasting2: @utopiArte Mh, quick correction. if the link to the audio file is in an "attachment" property, friendica will show the player. Just as in this post

But from a semantic prospective (acting like I know what it means), the audio file is not attached to the note, but to the episode.

Post of the audio MP3 URL link in BBCode audio brakets [audio][/audio]

I recently participated in this Fast Company roundtable interview about political cartooning in a broken media landscape. I have to say, the sample art that they chose from my comic for the feature image is perfectly timed.

By popular demand, a single post to boost global switch day across multiple platforms on February 1st 2025.โ€ฉ

For those who can no longer get behind Musk or Meta's new policies and feel like switching (e.g. from #Whatsapp to #Signal, from #Instagram to #Pixelfed or from #X to #Mastodon) I made you some graphics to use freely in communicating with your contacts.

Letโ€™s lead by example ๐Ÿ™‚

At the request of many of you (no experience yet myself) herewith additional graphics to boost global switch day across multiple platforms on February 1st 2025.

#facebook #friendica #tiktok #loops #youtube #peertube #reddit #lemmy

Also a big big shout-out to all the beautiful people who develop and maintain the software for the decentralized social web. Please help them build the #fediverse for everyone by making a donation. Thank you.

in reply to S ๐ŸŒฑ L V I ฮ›

is there a Sponsorblock equivalent for PeerTube? That's the only thing that's lacking that keeps me from switching

Let's celebrate the occasional small happenstance of wonderfulness, beloved.

Because it makes me stupidly happy when one of my Reddit comments from three years ago, trying to help someone with a library barcode question, suddenly becomes useful to someone two days ago. And they left a little thank you to let me know.

See there? That's the kinda thing that helps promote what I like to call "humanity.โ€ Literally made my day, and I mean that. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

CP/M was an operating system developed for Intel, that shaped personal computing as we know it today.

My very first personal computer. BK 0010-01 (BK 0010 has a membrane keyboard, mine had a mechanical one). Specs:

32Kb memory, 4MHz CPU, 16bit Q-Bus... I had two 5in floppy disk drives connected to it, monitor and a dot matrix printer. I loved it. Part of me wishes I still had it. It didn't have a BIOS per-se, but it had an analog - 8kb of 32 were used as a BIOS.

Iโ€™ve had my eye on this project for some time now. We need a good alternative to VSCode.

VSCodium and Code OSS are fine for the most part, but some extensions, such as the CSharp extensions, wonโ€™t work without effort. And who knows for how long until M$ makes it near impossible to use outside of VSCode.

Iโ€™m currently using JetBrains Rider, but that has telemetry force-enabled for the community version.

I just want to get away from these data-grabbing corpos ๐Ÿ˜
