Tri-Union Seafoods is recalling canned tuna sold under the Genova, Van Campโs, H-E-B, and Trader Joeโs brand labels. The recall was initiated after Tri-Union Seafoods was notified by its supplier that the cansโ โeasy openโ pull tab lids have a manufacturing defect that may affect the productsโ seal and possibly contaminate the tuna with clostridium botulinum (commonly referred to as botulism), a potentially fatal form of food poisoning.
