@Each Hit Music @Chris Trottier I've started working on a series of comparison tables for the Join the Fediverse Wiki that currently compares the features of

I may add at least #Socialhome and #FoundKey.

I don't know if I'll ever complete and publish these tables, but it won't be anytime soon because it'll be a whole lot of features in these tables. Also, I'll very likely need help from users of other projects to complete the tables.

it's not, but people keep pushing it in... #diaspora is from the #encryptionists agenda where the #Fediverse is #4opens

Mess and composting comes to mind.

!Friendica Support If I quote-share a post coming from #Tumblr or #Diaspora on Friendica, I learnt that some platforms (Mastodon, Misskey, ...) aren't able to display this as expected. In Friendica, I see a preview image of the post, which is what I would expect:

Looking at this from Mastodon, it looks slightly less usable but at least there's still something:

On Misskey, as has been reported (can't reproduce as I don't have or want an account there), it seems the post is empty.

Hubzilla is where it looks best:

This is kind of a mess. It seems similar for Diaspoar posts. What can be done, or who's responsible to handle that right, from a standards perspective? Is there any way to be reasonably sure posts look at least usable on all federated platforms?

I wrote a new #blog post, about #diaspora - it doesn't really apply to anyone reading it from diaspora itself, though 😛 it's more to convince others about how great it is, here. But feel free to give it a read, or a skim.

New blog post - I'm Inviting you to join diaspora* with me, to enjoy social media once again:

I've released a bot onto diaspora, it’s opt-in only, I had it previously on activitypub/mastodon, because I had created it for there, but now I’m diaspora only, I just ported it. Remarkably enough it's now coded in AppleScript for Mac OS X 10.6.

Simply follow @futaeveryword_bot@iviv.hu aka (aka https://iviv.hu/people/7e77d020b7aa013bca9e723c915ba918 ) from your nearest diaspora* pod or otherwise compatible solution, to get its posts.

Inspired by bots such as “fuck every word”, posts a random word (from Apple’s Mac OS X 10.6 default English dictionary list), followed by the word “futa”, every 4 hours.

Posts once every 4 hours, to ‘All Aspects’ (so the posts are opt-in, by you adding this bot to an aspect).

Why? To spread pride and awareness, and for funnies.

It's fully open source at https://gitlab.com/Novimatrem/few-fedi-bot-diaspora-mac10-6 - though you probably do not want to run this yourself.

@Michael Vogel ok, danke.

Hello !Friendica Support
can we at #Friendica improve how quoted reshares of #Diaspora posts look on #Pleroma or should Friendica not send these posts to Pleroma? Is this a pleroma issue?

The #Peertube Social Sharing plug-in added support for #Friendica and #Pleroma and #Diaspora
Thanks to @tio for filing an issue for this.
