Iran-linked cyberattacks threaten equipment used in U.S. water systems and factories

The cyberattacks have spanned multiple states, CISA said. While the equipment in question, "Unitronics Vision Series programmable logic controllers," is predominately used in water and wastewater systems, companies in energy, food and beverage manufacturing, and health care are also under threat.

"Money threatened the performance. It showed the backstage. Without a wage, the fantasy of doing what you love can be maintained."

Tokens, p. 34

Concluding a section that considers how artists and housewives are and were paid in tokens that maintained a power dynamic, fronted by the myth that the labour committed is for doing "what you love" and therefore shouldn't be rewarded.

I gathered with a friend to mourn and organize in response to the current violence in Israel and Palestine. We used the Beautiful Trouble deck our anti-zionist Jewish priestess friend Rae Abileah co-designed to brainstorm ideas.

The first set of cards we pulled were meant to be. An artistic vigil rooted in intersectionality, aimed at activating international mechanisms.

My friend is an art teacher and the repeated call by the UNCRC and many others for a #CeasefireNow guides our work. 1/

in reply to Clayton Dewey

This is beautiful indeed, and so glad to see you teaming up with Rae!

Powered through sore throat, successful show, woke up feeling half dead. Rock on. 🤘🏻

@Nouvanity Some people actually do get confused when I critique anything about the way Wayland is being managed, it's almost like nuance exists

That feeling of malaise when you realize another year has almost passed and we are entering another cold winter.

@Gargron
gentleman may I propose you move over to .at where people start to complain when trains are 5 minutes late during the current snowstorm.

'Additionally, there are reports that HIV-2 infection can reduce HIV-1-associated pathogenesis in dual-infected patients, and in cell culture. However, the mechanisms underlying these protective effects are not well understood. To decipher these mechanisms, we performed dual infections with HIV-1 and HIV-2 in cell culture.'

I've been a fan of these nerds since around 2010-2012 (bad time personally, so timeframes vary) and their charity work every year has me in awe! Fostering such a generous community for so many years is incredible to me.

Welp, so. I guess I'm here now and it's #introduction / #introductions time? I'm a #science writer, #journalist, #podcast host & video maker with a special fondness for weird/gross biology. I'm also a #DnD GM and a huge nerd for #books (especially #scifi) and #comics.

This week, I wrote about a type of lemur that picks its nose with an incredibly spindly finger that's so long it can reach up through its nasal cavity and touch its pharynx.

Nice to meet you, too!

“People spend one-third of their lives asleep. What if employees could work during that time … in their dreams?”

The first sentence of this article is like a Black Mirror episode pitch that got immediately shitcanned because nobody wants to watch heavy-handed Marxist social critique based on an utterly implausible premise.

Here's a little video about the new color film stock from Harman/Ilford, Phoenix 200. Previously Kodak had the only factory producing color film, so this is very exciting.

how expensive is it typically? I remember 10 years ago trying and it was like $20 / roll just for the film.

@caroline That sounds about right on average. It's about the same for the development and scanning service.

Well, Jacquie is Canadian. Zoos and gardens sometimes have Spanish moss. Needs further investigation!
