@tom grzybow If anyone 100% disagrees with everything you stand for, my friend, they probably are an asshole.
in reply to Muse

I would also wonder about anyone who 100% agreed with everything I say. We are all individual.

If you're spending time in a national park this summer and come across a rock cairn, some (maybe most?) park services encourage you to knock over and dismantle them.

See the bright arcs in this @NASAHubble image? They indicate bends in spacetime. Massive objects, like merging galaxy clusters here, can act as gravitational lenses, revealing more distant objects otherwise beyond our view. go.nasa.gov/3Ofvn8Y

Have some fine art. Most of it was not done by me. I just made things into Pokรฉmon.

These were fun to do, when I did them a long while back.

Big Mammoth seems like a contradiction in terms. How can it be algorithm free while only favouring those scientists and politicians who share the same opinion?

The trailer for my new #StarTrek #podcast is out! ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿพ

beforethefuture.space

It's called Before the Future Came, and we're examining the ideologies of Star Trek through its eps/films/etc. We're interested in how it portrays (and fails to) its postcapitalist utopian ideals. Us hosts are all socialists, abolitionists, and queer, so discussion should be meaty.

It's not a chronological podcast, and we summarize each work at the top so you don't have to watch alongside. All eps will be transcribed.

ICYMI: Get a bunch of cyberpunk games in this latest bundle - has great Steam Deck and Linux compatibility gamingonlinux.com/2023/07/get-โ€ฆ #Linux #SteamDeck #Gaming
in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux ๐Ÿง๐ŸŽฎ

I wonder if there's a more accurate term than "compatibility" that can be used when talking about games that need to run through something like Proton to work on Linux.

Feel like it cheapens the effort of developers that actually include native Linux support in their games.

in reply to Tom Nardi

@tomnardi ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ compatibility takes many forms and this feels like a level of nitpick that isnโ€™t healthy to bother

Hello, I am new to this channel and the whole HPC domain. Can anyone help me with some names of HPC applications/software that are used in Material Science, especially but not strictly related to Mass spectrometry? I want to study the application level parameters these applications run on as a part of my upcoming research proposal to my advisor.

I found some names on the following website(hpc.nih.gov/apps/). But, it doesn't have any information on the application level parameters.
