tried it, sadly unusable for me as a desktop system right now. Packman repos still didn't catch up, no Steam in repos, and one in OBS has dependency issues, some weirdness with 32 bit support (it has to be enabled as a kernel option)

And the ISO kernel panics when booting from Ventoy (but that's more of a Ventoy problem)

I agree with the general idea, but the article contains some inaccuracies. FOSS means free as in libre, but it doesn't necessarily mean free as in beer.

Take RCU (davisr.me/projects/rcu/) for example. It's free thanks to its AGPL license, but you need to pay to get it. And when you pay, you get one year of updates. Then, you need to pay again if you want more recent versions.
