Oh so according to this ancient tradition Mary's soul was both male and female. bhroberts.org/records/NGw3rc-L…
in reply to Nathan Schneider

But don't forget that Mary's soul was also "seven times white".

This is how you do it people. I feel like I could have written this article, as it is extremely detailed as to all of the valid reasons why they would want to ban such content from being associated with Nature.

RE: mastodon.social/@Gargron/11560…

The sticker sheets are back in stock today! And the first 321 orders have been dispatched, with the rest coming soon. Only about 400 plushies left between the two colors. The winter mug is the closest to being sold out at only 18 units left. Thank you!

You may have seen it over on @Mastodon, but in case not: The new plushies are now live on the shop, alongside restocked and new mugs. Shipping to EU, UK, Switzerland, Norway, and the US. We decided to allow orders from the US, but shipping is what it is (from Germany).

in reply to Eugen Rochko

thank you! I am sad about the current cost of shipping to the US, and I think letting customers choose whether to incur that cost is the right approach.
in reply to Chuck o Rama

You can choose not to incur that cost by not ordering. I am confused by what you're asking for here. We charge a bit less than what the shipping company charges us.
in reply to Eugen Rochko

I apologize for being unclear. I’m not asking for anything! A lot of online retailers are choosing not to ship to the US at all. I was applauding you for giving us the ability to choose whether to buy given the costs.
in reply to Eugen Rochko

As someone who rarely supports any digital asset, I've had to make an exception for this one. Thanks again for opening up orders in the US, even if the 'shipping cost' is horribly abysmal due to reasons. Just because I could afford it, I snagged both new plushies, a mug, & stickers. :BlobhajTransPrideHeart: :BlobhajPrideHeart: :BlobhajHeart: :underheart: <img class=" title=":mastodon:"/>

I will just have to assume KDE has deliberated this hard before coming to this decision.

Such an iconic moment, how many years passed since last time I watched this?

Still, I remembered this the day Facebook's smart glasses failed terribly multiple times and said the exact same thing.

Interesting. From low level work I have done I would assume that this is related to firmware not being open or them having to reverse engineer stuff. Maybe they should talk to @postmarketOS as they are phenomenal in that kind of work.

That said, they would do best if they started building up risrcv devices as they are the better long term investment anyway. I'm working on riscv for that exact reason.

if I were in charge I'd move to a more ready for Linux platform like the CIX chips running on the Orange Pi 6 Plus and Radxa Orion O6. They still need work but are way ahead of the Snapdragon X series on Linux support

Belgium’s democratic experiment

"The German-speaking community of Belgium has decided to tackle a major democratic challenge head on. By giving its citizens an equal opportunity to help develop future policy in an informed and structured way, it is likely to be better equipped to survive the storm."

in reply to Muse

There are advantages to either in-person or on-line. Online can be more inclusive of people with mobility issues. In-person can be more inclusive of those disadvantaged by the digital divide. I have done things in the past to help ensure Australia's indigenous peoples have access to computers, but many are still without either computers or internet connection. Same goes for homeless families. And they can't necessarily just go to a library, if they live in the outback.
in reply to Muse

but many are still without either computers or internet connection.

OK, that's Australia. I don't want to hurt any feelings, but chocolate isn't the only thing better in Belgium than in Australia.

Interesting new study that shows huge knowledge gaps in spillover potential in endangered species which is bad news for us. It's also bad news for the endangered species themselves who are at risk of being wiped out completely if a new virus strikes, considering they are already facing serious extinction risks

👤 why would anyone even like them?
💻 As a large language model, I can't say why people would like cantaloupe.
