I have worn a kn95 style mask since the beginning and so far, never knowingly caught covid. I also have yearly fit testing for hazmat respirators, so I know how to wear a mask like my life depends on it. After being in immediately lethal environments a few times, you become very aware masks save lives in total comfort.

I think the whole respiratory protection thing was fumbled along with physical distancing. Instead of videos on wiping groceries there should have been shorts on masks and how to demonstrate effectiveness to yourself. And KN95 should have been the norm rather than the surgical style. No one wants something randomly touching your lips.

I was considering adding this as a feature to my gallery tool, but then I thought it might be even cooler to have a public list hosted somewhere in a repo where people could add their gallery links via pull requests. I would add an option to the generator that pulls the list and adds it to the gallery every time a picture is added. This way, the list would automatically stay updated. Any thoughts?

It's a bit strange to talk about, because so many scientists work their butt off to publish maybe few papers a year. But hyper-publication in a relatively small number of labs skews standards and expectations for everyone else. And, depending on the scale, it compromises the integrity of the whole peer review process, without necessarily producing any meaningful products.
