Once upon a time, in the Styrian Alps, I hiked up a mountain in the early morning darkness to photograph the sunrise. That was almost three years ago now, October 2019.

I've posted a few edits of this before, but this is the original that I haven't shown like this before. Unfortunately I don't have the RAW files anymore, so I can't edit it again by today's standards and technical possibilities.

An observation from July 2021. A Pied Imperial Pigeon (Ducula bicolor) spotted at the Sungei Tengah area, Singapore. Last spotted one in March 2020, so good to see it again.

The Pied Imperial Pigeon is an uncommon resident bird.

Happy Sunday to you!

Today it's time for one of my luckiest photos, this cute #weasel. I was initially looking for another animal when at some point it started rumbling through the grass. Since I could barely see more than just the moving grass I wasn't sure what it was first. And then it got closer and closer to the fence, so I just hoped it'd come out and prepared my camera.

And indeed, for just a few seconds it appeared, looked at something and ran away again. 😍

A Malaysian Pied-Fantail (Rhipidura javanica) spotted at Coney Island, Singapore, on 31 Oct 2021. It fanned its tail somewhat, but I haven't got it in full 'crazy' mode yet. 🙂

In the local Malay language, its name is Murai-Gila Biasa, or Ordinary Crazy-Magpie.
