It's bank holiday here in Spain so we knew many of the popular walks would be busy. Instead we drove 15 minutes to a town called Chite, which we had never visited before. Had beautiful hike through lush forests and lakeside (Embalse de Beznar). A glorious 2 hour, 7km circular walk that ended at the bar in Chite.

Amazing what's on your doorstep that can sometimes get overlooked!

Walked to Cala Cortina today. On the way, @vaviurka spotted a chameleon sitting in a tree! We've been looking for one for years, but they're usually very good at staying invisible. This one must've failed basic chameleon training and chose a poor hideout.

And I spotted a surfaced submarine (much easier job) entering the harbour.

A chameleon, sitting in a tree. It made itself look like a piece of tree bark, but still sticks out as the tree only has branches thinner than its body. It's tail looks amazingly like a twig, including a kink in it.
A submarine, on the surface, steaming into port. Some of the crew is standing on deck, soaking up the first sunlight in 29 days.
Cala Cortina, the nearest beach outside the harbour. The water is clear and a handful of sunbathers are on the sand.
