that chart graphic is illegible due to no contrast between line and background. Lines could be thicker too

lets see if the mouse in GTA3 that they broke in 8.11 works again. Otherwise I need to stop procrastinating creating a bug ticket...

While looking for pics of bleps for Bleptember, I stumbled on this old picture from April 2021, before I cleared all the moss of our garage roof.

Moss or no moss, the cats love this roof. The garage, an old barn, is built into a hill so the lowest part of that side is only about 60cm off the ground ie, a perfect height for being tickled when a human is walking along the adjacent footpath.

Microsoft: we will only use what you set when we’re forced legally 🤣🤡

Their desperation to get you to use Edge however they can is just funny.

in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux 🐧🎮

I will never not be mad that they moved Edge to Chromium.

I understand it was probably very costly to have their own rendering team and all having their own engine and all

But Edge before turning into basically a skin of Chrome was actually good.

Like, I hated IE for years and years (and been using Firefox since 2004) so I can confidently say

"If at the least the stuff you pushed wasn't some fucking degooglified shite, maybe I'd be more forgiving"

I chatted with @BrodieOnLinux on Tech Over Tea!

…and a whole lot more! It was a blast, and I’m sure there’ll be shorter clips in the coming days if the two-hour runtime is daunting. 😅

Aww, I am bummed that Hulu has cancelled The Great after three seasons. This show was hilarious...Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult were fantastic as Catherine and Peter. theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2…
in reply to kottke.org

It was a brilliant show and I'll miss it, but I'm glad we got the grand, heartbreaking arc of the third season. Maybe they had a rabbit up their skirts for a fourth season, but it would have been a challenge to keep up the energy and chemistry for ten more episodes.

Starfield on Steam Deck (hitting the big city, early access - part 2)

I had a feeling the game was going to be a little rough on the Steam Deck. Especially since it’s having similar performance issues on the Series S when landing the ship in the largest city (like the one in your vid).

Farewell to the Nib, which I've loved being a part of these past ten years or so. This week's comic was my last to appear on the site, though I'll continue plodding on through the media doomscape. thenib.com/tuned-in/
in reply to Jen Sorensen

I've been getting mileage for years, in Canada, with the comment that the TO Globe&Mail has a section called "Report on Busines" and another called "Investing", but no section called "Working for a Paycheque", or even, ah, "Labour".

I don't believe that American papers have those sections, either, not even with their incorrect spellings.

in reply to Jen Sorensen

Love your comics!

So sorry to say goodbye to The Nib, but happy that you are still posting here 😁

Is it even possible with today's tech to map the orbits of all these stars?
Could they collide and -- eventually? -- create a black hole?

“We don’t stop hand washing because norovirus cases are down. We don’t stop wearing gloves because HIV cases are down. As a doctor, if you’re arguing that you should be able to expose patients to COVID because infection control annoys you, you should not be a doctor. Find a new career. I bet you’d love denying insurance claims. I bet you’d be a natural.”
