cites was already great but some games didn’t work as well like Final Fantasy Explorers. I’ll have to give it another go. The Steam Deck controller is such an ergonomic improvement over hand cramps on my new2DS XL

Cool! This game really does seem like a lot of fun and it looks really stunning too. 😎

Thanks for the recommendation. Also, it's nice to see that they've released it on GOG. 🔓

If you want to see a practical example of MATLAB running quantum workloads on Amazon Braket, my buddy Mike Croucher has cut a pretty snappy blog post on the topic. blogs.mathworks.com/matlab/202…

The minimal intrinsic stochasticity of constitutively expressed eukaryotic genes is sub-Poissonian

science.org/doi/full/10.1126/s…

"Our findings redefine the lower limit of eukaryotic gene expression noise and uncover molecular requirements for achieving ultralow noise, which is expected to be important for vital cellular functions."

#MolecularBiology #GeneExpression #SystemsBiology

in reply to Frank Aylward

Minimizing noise is crucial for ensuring reliable cellular functions.

I am not so sure about this. Noise is inevitable, cells can explore it to regulate gene activities, and probably evolved to do so. No noise, no evolution, no life.

in reply to Domhenri

@domhenri i suppose it's a question of how much noise, and in which processes.

god this game is so close to being good, but the multiplayer has been entirely unplayable since the early access started and its still not fixed. Like 4.5 months from release youd hope multiplayer would be ready in your arpg.... loading screens take 30s sometimes

Elon Musk trying to figure out why Wikipedia needs so much money when the entire text can fit on your phone.
in reply to Dare Obasanjo

Let's not forget he's the man who made engineers print out their source code to review it.

At the #OMN Our 5 instances were funded by the remaining 5k of the tech fund from visionontv project grant for the last ten years, this pot of money is now beyond empty. It was never self funded... opencollective.com/open-media-… This is normal issue... Have been applying for #FOSS Dev funding for #OMN last 3-4 years to cross fund the instances but nothing, #blocking, as most of this funding is poured down the drain.

The instances have been running to seed the #OMN tech Dev and provide hands on #ux and backend mod knowledge for these Dev projects.

The is nothing happening to fix this #FOSS mess, only the #fashionista stuff is sustainable and this soon disappears when it goes out of fashion.

#openweb reboot is limited by the people working on it. We obviously need to do better and we can if we choose too #OMN

TheBadSpace, Death Threats
This is a safety thing now. You need to defederate thebad.space sources and defenders ASAP. Are0h is literally being friendly with a defender of his who sent someone critical of thebad.space death threats. He called tech.lgbt kiwifarms and now he's actually endorsing death threats. For the safety of you and your users, cut ties immediately

Bottles Is Sick Of Downstream Distro Packages #Linux #YouTube youtu.be/MFa6d11JWro
in reply to Brodie Robertson

In this case I think Fedora reserves the right to package bottle. I mean it's FOSS. That said, I think that Fedora should redirect all support links to itself rather than bottles. I'm pretty sure some other distributions already do this and I'm surprised Fedora doesn't.

I'm all in favour for bottles to force this. They should not have to deal with supported requests for things that they did not package themselves.

in reply to FCLC

(Yes "AI" has more legitimate applications than BC ever did, but it's burning a heck of a lot of power to get there.

Yes I'm excluding recommendation engines, since those have already been brought down orders of magnitude in energy$ relative to output over the last ten years)

#SC22 #reinvent #HPC I wrote a story for #InsideHPC on my impressions of the supercomputing show and why I think CXL3.0 and custom CPU designs is going to be the future for supercomputers.
