New music from Dead Can Dance.

"‘Our Day Will Come’ is dedicated to the shared national aspirations of the Irish and Palestinian peoples. The song title is a direct reference and translation of the traditional Irish Republican slogan Tiocfaidh ár lá.  A slogan that embodies the aspirations of the Irish people in their shared vision of a united Ireland free from foreign colonial rule. In light of the appalling ongoing genocide in Palestine the solidarity between our two peoples has never been stronger."

Haha this is so cool. Been loving their music since I was 12. I saw them in Paris a few years ago, it was peaceful and powerful at the same time.
This track is something else though. New music from the band didn't move me like this for a while.

The publisher did a very poor job describing it but the remake came out a year or two ago, this will just be the version that doesn't require a VR headset
in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux 🐧🎮

about time they made a non-VR version of it.

I grew up with the originals and did some behind the scenes stuff for The 13th Doll: A Fan Game of The 7th Guest.

The VR remake is VERY good and one of the puzzle designers Paul Van der Meers actually did puzzle work on The 13th Doll

Thief-like open source game project The Dark Mod 2.14 released gamingonlinux.com/2026/03/thie…

#TheDarkMod #FreeGame #OpenSource

in reply to Liam @ GamingOnLinux 🐧🎮

You called it an “open source game”. This is false.

The media files (which are ESSENTIAL for games, especially this one) are proprietary. It’s illegal to redistribute the game commercially as-is.

That’s against one of the CORE values of open source (and free software).

Please just fix your article. Thanks.

FACT: The Dark Mod is a proprietary game where only PARTS (i.e. the code) of it qualify as “open source”, but NOT the whole game.

I’ve been really surprised to see where palm oil crops up prominently. A lot of snacks that come out of Southeast Asia things that I would normally really love to eat use that as an ingredient. So none of that for me.

We all do ourselves a favor by eating, un refined products. Pet food is notably an ultra refined product

Palm Oil Detectives reshared this.

that looks pretty cool! I've been wanting an openwrt official for a while.

I've been trying to get ipfire up and running on a rpi4 to use as a travel firewall but it looks like hardening openwrt with selinux and adding more firewall software is the way to go, so I'll probably take notes from turris. Thanks!

Edit: obviously the little pi won't be able to contend with that beast but still, its a fun little decent project 😄

I was fascinated by these as a kid and tried to make a miniature moss garden inside a terrarium. Of course I was a child and didn't understand how to make such an environment self-sustaining. But it looked lovely for awhile!

I think this is actually a great analogy; cheap cameras gave us an infinite ocean of crap home videos but also Steven Spielberg and his whole generation of filmmakers grew up on backyard Super 8 cameras. Democratization of cameras didn’t kill cinema or big cine cameras; quite the opposite.

This is like saying ordering sandwiches in Subway democratizes cooking and will give rise to the chef equivalent of Steven Spielberg.
