#DecentSocialTopics second session about this project visionon.tv/w/jqTdss1qrdk4yEZi… The is a lot of renewed interest recently after the aborted tech dev and rollout due to covid last year. This is a historically working grassroots "news" project that is native to the #fediverse and #openweb

The is a good #openweb video history of #climatecamp on our peertube visionon.tv/search?sort=-views…

#DecentSocialTopics we would like to run a session on unite.openworlds.info/Open-Med…

Outlining this #openweb #fediverse native #OGB project people have been working on for the last few years.

It's reached programming stage, we have one dev and two experienced mentors, looking for a few committed #openweb coders of any skill level to build this not for profit project.

Diversity of Surface Fibril Patterns in Mimivirus Isolates

"Among the most intriguing structural features in the known virosphere are mimivirus surface fibrils, proteinaceous filaments approximately 150 nm long, covering the mimivirus capsid surface...
Biological assays suggested that patterns of fibrils can influence viral entry in host cells."

Campo del Cielo meteorites are the remnants of a large object that exploded over northern Argentina a long time ago (4 to 5 thousand years ago). First reported in 1576, fragments have been uncovered over the years.

Fragmentation's been a thing for a decade. But it does seem to be a particularly big problem now. A generational problem. Older people seem to think that success is mass investment and fame, when younger people think sustainable niches are just as successful. All that said, it was an amusing bit.

Have you ever had a weak positive test for West Nile #virus only to test negative on a subsequent test?

One recurring problem with #epidemiology of #flavivirus #InfectiousDisease is that antibody tests for one flavivirus happen to be highly crossreactive with other flaviviruses.

That is a problem addressed in:

A look at Earth’s biomass distributed between taxa.

Plants dominate accounting for >82% of biomass, followed by bacteria at 13%. The entire animal kingdom only makes up 0.4% & humans alone are just 0.01%. ourworldindata.org/life-on-ear… #science #nature
