"What" in Anglo Saxon is spelled "hwæt". I used to wonder why the "w" and the "h" became transposed. Then I heard Lucy Darling asking people, "Hwat is your name?" She aspirates an "h" before the "w". It adds a lot of emphasis! And coming from her, sounds quite natural.

in reply to jokeyrhyme • • •@jokeyrhyme That disappointment is understandable, but as you said there are always challenges with limitations and feasibility. In this case a bunch of choices and compromises had to be made to make the device a reality at a reasonable price. Specifically the ambient light sensor is troublesome because they usually come as a part of the display.
Most understand that it's impossible to make everyone happy when compromises need to be made.
