For server admins running 2025.07-rc there is an update to the Bookface scheme to version 1.9.0
For servers running 2024.12 the Bookface Stable repo is at version 1.8.8. I'll do a release when they have enough fixes to hit 1.9 too. But there are a bunch of fixes you may want now (download zip).

turns out it was just because both my and pet's midrange phones were too slow. for basic speech synthesis.
