[AG NoCams Bremen] Gemeinsam Mappen von Kameras im öffentlichen Raum
Thu 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM
paradx

wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/DE…
wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/DE…

Falls es Menschen gibt, die mit dem Teammodus schon Erfahrungen gesammelt haben, freuen wir uns über einen Austausch und ggf. Tipps.

Wir freuen uns auf zahlreiche Teilnahme! Also schnappt euch euer Smartphone und mappet mit

The August community update is due in a week, and we've got some really exciting news to share with you this month.

If you haven't done so yet, consider subscribing to our blog (widget at bottom of the page) to stay up to date: pine64.org/blog/

written in pinecil? stay tuned with our pinedio? am I reading too much into this? does it feel like you're being interrogated? will this bit ever end?

A much improved touchpad firmware for the #pinebookpro is now available for flashing! Presently, the process requires some degree of Linux knowledge, but even a novice should be able to follow the instructions. If you're not comfortable with executing the process, community developer dsimic is working on a use-friendly and (more) automated utility for flashing the firmware.

Any kind of companion app for the Pinephone and/or Android?
in reply to PINE64

Hi, I have really interested, But 30$ shipping cost to Spain 🙁 Any solution?

in reply to PINE64

is there a trademark issue that means you have to say "drop-in replacement for the most popular solution on the market?"
in reply to leo vriska

I don't know what you're talking about 😇

(Don't know if it's a trademark issue, but it's along those lines yes)

Waiting for a #PinePhone or #PinebookPro? Shipping of remaining devices next week.

Details in shipping thread: forum.pine64.org/showthread.ph…

in reply to Blort™ 🐀Ⓥ🥋☣️

PineTime hopefully coming back next month (no promises, given part shortage). PineCube stock is pretty healthy right now, however. 😀

This is the last week to pick up a #pinebookpro before production pauses on May 24th.

Although I have no use for a laptop at this time, I would have bought one all the same, just because. But the UK keyboard is out of stock and the US keyboard is just a few keys too short for me.

Impulse buy averted! 😅

The long awaited #SOEdge AI module is now in available in the Pine Store!

Store Link: pine64.com/product-category/so…

in reply to PINE64

Have a comparison page between the two sopine boards? Hows it better?
in reply to DataNerd

In short, if you need a device that can do machine learning (particularly of the neural variety), the SOEdge is way faster, as it has dedicated hardware for the purpose.

But it only has two Cortex-A35 cores, meaning it is way slower than the classic SOPine for "normal" tasks.

A successor of the pen plotter is finally revealed!
On second thought, "successor" may be just a bit much; the output does look a bit cheesy.

On a relatively serious note, this thing does generate some interesting output.

in reply to lime with video

What a brilliant project, I was really surprised when I first saw the letters! 😮

They won't save you.

Kyrsten Sinema (democrat) voted against the $15 minimum wage bill passing through congress and did so with a “quirky” plaid up thumbs down. She uses progressivism as an aesthetic but is establishment to the core. She got notoriety and adoration when she was sworn into office by Pence using a law book instead of a bible.

"If it doesn’t have universal suffrage, it’s not a democracy."

this is simply completely not true. What do you think democracy is?

in reply to Daily Anarchist Meme For Cool People

" people who bought slaves weren’t doing the best they could"

you know, slavery wasn't unique to the US. You seemed obssessed with this smearing them, and refusing to accept the truth and the concept.

Further, slavery isn't necessarily about racism at all. its obviously about economics.

In Africa, it had been long standing that some Africans enslaved others. In fact, many if not most of the slaves in the USA were bought from African slavers who captured them.

In Europe, is was also long standing for Europeans to enslave others, such as the Romans. That had faded sooner than in Africa - partly because they started enslaving Africans instead.

You seem obsessed with this "perfectionism" ideal of past figures in history.

It's really ultimately offensive.

I'd like to see how you would like it if we were still part of Britain, and what the world would be like now.

in reply to lime with video

the esteemed inventor of putting a camera on a wall presents an overproduced and yet somehow practically underwhelming device. amazing how that works.
in reply to lime with video

One of my neighbours has a Ring and its red LED comes on most times I pass by it in the hallway >.>
The frustrating thing is that in Germany they don't _yet_ share recordings with the cops and lots of people's reaction is "oh well in the US they do all sorts of things that aren't legal here", not seeing how the trend is generally that the US is ahead of Germany by ~5 years, but the same legislative lobbying works here too, just with a bit of delay.

This was really cool, I was clearly in the chat for this stream but I'd forgotten what you discovered about the insides altogether! And it's great to see the dancing heart and cat marquee again :3

Nice exploration. When I was helping someone choose a convertible laptop with active pen support, navigating the stylus technology of the models was a minefield. Often specs wouldn't list pen support clearly, so you had to go by reviews, but for some laptops that didn't support active pen, a very helpful reviewer would say "yes, this laptop works with this active pen", when it was what you showed in the video. From this video it seems like they're clever, but work even worse, than I thought they would.

such delightfully gnarly soldering shots! also i felt that software bug in my soul. so glad you got it debugged and thank you for taking us on that journey

thank you this is great!
Love the result but also I admire the ease with which you work with electronics.

On Leaving Big Internet (2)

May I suggest you watch Cargo (2018). Why?
It's a great zombie romp set in Australia where a contrast between indigenous and colonial communities is depicted. I think it does a great job showing that there are different knowledge traditions which do not inherently have superiority over each other. It encourages that we remain open to this reality because the world is full of zombies (unknowns). Plus the ecology of these zombies makes me gush a little.

My new PC arrived!🤩 (Kitten not included)
I'll publish later a blog-post to describe the setup I selected and review if digital-painting/video/CGgraphics feels good with it on GNU/Linux. For now: unboxing time and install. 🐧🔧
in reply to David Revoy

Nice!! Looking forward to see your experience with it, have fun putting it toguether!!🙌🏼 👍🏼 🙂

So the Netflix twitter account posted a thread about watching The Matrix through a trans lens and kind of just held everyone’s hand to show them some obvious (and less obvious) examples.

twitter.com/netflixfilm/status…

However the real meat of this meal is in all the cis tears in the replied complaining about the very idea that this movie could have trans themes. These people are SO MAD about it, and I love it. I want to fuck with every movie these assholes have ever enjoyed.

i'm gonna come out and say this

FUCK defcon

sorry it's defcon (R). forgot the (R). defcon _registered trademark_ Hacker Conference

holy shit. fuck corporatized "hacker culture". fuck the bigoted techbro gamer filled gamer chat. fuck any "hacker" community that is not intersectional. fuck everything about this tbh

attending HOPE really opened my eyes to everything that defcon _(R)_ isn't

I've seen some comments recently about how a BAN PEOPLE I DON'T AGREE WITH.

So let's clear that up. Unless it's an instance of overt bigotry, I don't make decisions without talking to the good people on my instance. You can ask anyone on PV.

I don't believe in running communities as a dictator because that's not how strong communities are built.

So anyone that says I do this is straight up lying.

jmz🦀ᵛᶜᵐ reshared this.

in reply to Aomine Dicegame

In my view, I think a lot of people don't know what a healthy community looks like and don't have the stamina to build one that is inclusive and intersectional and they know it so they attack when they see someone such as myself doing what they talk about.

This is not to say I am perfect b/c LOL as anyone on my instance will tell you as well, I am far from it.

But my success is measured by the quality of environment not followers and attention.

B/c community is most important.

jmz🦀ᵛᶜᵐ reshared this.

in reply to Aomine Dicegame

PV is wildly unpopular in a lot of white PROGRESSIVE spaces because it exposes the ineptitude, incompetence and/or unwillingness of a lot of folks who proclaim they want DIVERSITY but really only voices that align with their white sensibilities and rubber stamp their largely meager and ineffective efforts.

It's very possible to build healthy spaces. PV shows most just choose not to. That's the core of the problem.

Ha, and folks hate us for it.

I was working on with a protected group recently and this was ACTUALLY how we did comms. They avoided Slack, Signal, etc. Only did out of band verifications and disposable IRC servers.

Wild to me. But it’s designed _against_ metadata. twitter.com/edefic/status/1280… (v2.jacky.wtf/post/5b33c9b9-1da…)

in reply to https://v2.jacky.wtf/

This thread twitter.com/edefic/status/1280… goes over a recent change I’ve been passively monitoring in Signal (they want to move contacts to their systems instead of relying on your local phone book). Justification is to remove the explicit need for a phone number to sign up for Signal. (v2.jacky.wtf/post/a6660b7e-76c…)

Glad I've plant so many seeds because most of the plants died. The few that survived seem to going strong. This is the first chile (de arbol, I think) flower of the season. @plants #gardening #hotpeppers #chilis

Diversity of tactics is good, actually.

Fighting for harm reduction and fighting for radical change are not mutually exclusive.

I like generative things, but not just code. Like, my current profile picture isn’t actually something I coded or drew, it’s an hdmi connector that I broke and it made a pattern that reminded me of saturn’s rings #glitch #art
